CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. — Cal City has announced a new police chief and his name is Jon Walker.

Chief Walker was sworn in Tuesday during the City Council meeting.

Chief Walker is replacing former Cal City Police Chief Eric Hurtado, who announced his retirement back in October 2019. Hurtado served for over 30 years with the department. He served eight and a half years as police chief, the longest tenure ever for a Cal City police chief.
