A man is behind bars after getting into a physical confrontation with a California City police officer, following an alleged attempted car jacking.
According to Cal City Police officials, a man car jacked a vehicle at about 7:40 a.m. Saturday. The suspect apparently went to the victim's home, and hit him over the head with a garden tool.
Witnesses say the victim pulled a gun on the suspect and fired a shot. The suspect then took off running, but was found by a Cal City police officer. The cop and the suspect got into a physical altercation. A witness watching, jumped in and helped the cop restrain the suspect.
The victim from the attempted car jacking and the suspect were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
