CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. — The California City Police Department is reporting that residents living in the East side of town may experience low water pressure for the next several hours.

Officials say repairs to water lines in the area of Proctor and California City Boulevards are currently being done.

California City PD says residents are asked to keep in mind that while the city did not suffer any obvious damage from last weeks earthquakes in the Ridgecrest area, water pipes and utility lines may have been weakened by the tremors and signs of damage may appear over the next several week or months.

If you notice anything out of the ordinary regarding your utilities, you are urged to report it to the proper utility companies listed below:

  • California City Water Dept - 760-373-8661
  • Southern California Electric Co - 800-655-4555
  • So Cal Gas - 909-307-7070

Officials say propane issues should be reported to your provider.
