California Flood Preparedness Week begins today and the California Department of Water Resources would like to educate the public on how to prepare for floods.
As California enters into 2018's wet season, the California Department of Water Resources says flooding becomes an ever-present risk.
Wildfires increase flood risk by scarring the land and preventing absorption of rainwater and runoff water can turn into life threatening mud flows.
