BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol investigated a major injury crash on westbound Highway 58 near Oswell St. Tuesday evening.
According to the CHP traffic incidents page, the crash happened around 6:15 p.m. on westbound Highway 58.
Initial reports are that the crash involved a semi truck and a van.

It's unclear how many people were injured in the crash, but at least one person had major injuries.
Westbound traffic was backed up to Fairfax Rd. as of 6:45 p.m. Tuesday night.
No further details were immediately available.
