BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened on northbound Highway 99 near the I-5 split Monday evening around 6:15 p.m.
According to the CHP traffic website, at least one vehicle was involved and one person was pronounced dead.
Northbound traffic was diverted to northbound I-5 temporarily as crews investigated the crash and worked to clean up the area.
Limited information was available Monday night, but all lanes were reopened by 10 p.m.
