The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the victim in a deadly crash in northwest Bakersfield earlier this week. 

Jose Manuel Cardenas Jr. was hit by a car around 10:30 p.m. Monday night on Olive Drive near Victor Street. 

Cardenas Jr., 46, died at the scene from his injuries.

One lane was temporarily blocked in the area as officers investigate. 

Police have not released any information on how the crash unfolded.
