California Highway Patrol responding to major injury motorcycle crash in the Kern River Canyon

The California Highway Patrol is responding to the Kern River Canyon for a motorcycle crash with major injuries. 

According to the California Highway Patrol Dispatch Page, the crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning on Highway 178 just west of the Live Oak Day Use campground. 

The motorcycle was down in the westbound lanes and the rider was on the right hand shoulder.
