BAKERSFIELD, Calif - California State University - Bakersfield is having its first-ever Giving Day.

The University will be doing a 24-hour digital fundraising marathon on Thursday, October 1st.

From midnight to midnight, the University said this is a chance for alumni, friends, students, faculty, and staff to come together and support student success and celebrate "Runner Pride.

And another reason to mark the occasion, Oct. 1st marks the 50th anniversary of the first day of classes for the University.

• Make a donation of any size to your favorite area on campus
• Share the Giving Day website on your social media channels
• Tell others why it’s important to support CSUB! Remember: CSUB is ranked nationally for social mobility, helping low-income students from all backgrounds graduate and succeed in every industry
