BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Caltrans announced Friday that they will begin reducing both Northbound and Southbound Interstate 5, from Twisselman Road to the Kern/Kings County Line, to one lane starting next week.

The closures are set to begin Monday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The closures will go everyday lasting until Friday, Jan. 31.

The closures are taking place as part of maintenance operations.

Caltrans wants to remind drivers to slow down for workers in these areas and expect delays in traffic.
