Caltrans announces new ramp closure, opening on Highway 99 starting Tuesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Department of Transportation announced that there will be a ramp opening and closure on Northbound 99 in Bakersfield starting Tuesday.

Caltrans officials said the closures are apart of the Bakersfield 99 Rehab Project. Below is an updated list of the upcoming changes:

  • The Northbound State Route 99 off-ramp to 24th Street (Rosedale Highway) will re-open on Wednesday, November 13, at 5:00 a.m. This will not include the auxiliary lane on the off-ramp.
  • The Northbound State Route 99 off-ramp to California Avenue will be closed for 25 days beginning Tuesday, November 12, at 10:00 p.m.
  • Posted detours will utilize the 24th Street (Rosedale Highway) and Ming Avenue exits.
  • The Northbound State Route 99 off-ramp to Buck Owens Boulevard will be closed for 25 days beginning Thursday, November 14, at 10:00 p.m.
  • Posted detours will utilize the 24th Street (Rosedale Highway) and Airport Drive exits.
