According to Caltrans, Highway 178 is open following a closure due to the rock slide in the Kern River Canyon.

According to Caltrans, Highway 178 is currently closed due to a rock slide in the Kern River Canyon.
Caltrans says that crews are in route to assess damage and determine removal from slide.
