The California Department of Transportation, known as Caltrans, will hold a career fair Tuesday in Bakersfield.
According to Caltrans, the passage of Senate Bill 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act, is projected to raise $54 billion through 2027. Due to the increased funding there will be an increase in workload.
The free event will be held at America's Job Center of California at 200 China Grade Loop. It will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to Caltrans, the free event will include career informational booths, hiring process assistance and information about local job openings.
