Crews are working to save homes from the fast-moving brush fire in Southern California.
The Canyon Fire has already burned more than 1500 acres in Corona, a city in Riverside County, after sparking along the 91 freeway Monday afternoon.
The fire quickly spread through low, dry brush and close to a neighborhood.
Roughly 300 homes are being evacuated.
Ground crews are being assisted with water and retardant-dropping aircraft, and permission as been granted to use a night-flying LA County Firehawk helicopter.
