The Greenfield Unified School district says W. A. Kendrick Elementary School is no longer on lockdown after Bakersfield Police were chasing suspects near the area. 

BPD says the chase begin on eastbound Panama heading towards Union Avenue. 

It's unclear at this time why the chase began but police say they arrested three people. 

Officers say the lockdown was precautionary and the students and staff are safe at W.A. Kendrick Elementary School.
