The Bakersfield Police Department is on scene of a crash between a van and a parked train in East Bakersfield.
BPD says the train was stopped on the tracks near Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Wilkins Street when a van hit the train.
The driver, a man, was pinned inside the vehicle and had to be extracted by emergency crews. He was left with major injuries. A female juvenile was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries and another man was left with minor injuries.
It's unknown if the guard rails were down, or if drugs or alcohol were involved. This story is developing, check back for updates.
