A car slammed into an apartment complex in southwest Bakersfield, crashing through a bedroom wall.

The couple inside the apartment were in bed at the time of the crash. Debris from the wall fell onto their bed, they were unhurt.

The driver of the vehicle was an adult male, also uninjured in the crash. Officers say the driver admitted to falling asleep at the wheel. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this crash.

Officials responded to the crash at the corner or Lily Dr. and Olympia Dr. around 4:30am.
