Early Friday morning on October 06, 2017 around 12:48 a.m., 33 year-old Brenda Acosta was driving a 2015 Nissan eastbound on Rosedale Highway when she rear ended a trailer, with 38 year-old Michael Czerwien and 29 year-old Crystal Kemp in it.
The trailer occupied by Czerwien and Kemp was also traveling eastbound on Rosedale Highway and stopped at a red light. For an unknown reason Acosta did not stop behind the trailer and her vehicle slid underneath of the trailer.
Acosta had to be extricated from her car by fire department personnel and was taken to Kern Medical with major injuries.
It is still unknown if drugs, or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
