Dozens of protestors showed up at Kern County Sheriff's headquarters to protest Sheriff Donny Youngblood.
The protestors were part of the Caravan Against Fear. They say Youngblood is cooperating with ICE to deport local undocumented immigrants,
The caravan is a 20-day caravan that is going from Sacramento through Bakersfield to southern California and then onto New Mexico and Texas.
The protesters are also asking for Sheriff Youngblood to support SB54, the bill that would make California a sanctuary state.
Youngblood said the protesters will “do what they have to do” and said he would not be providing any further comment.
However, in the past, Youngblood has said his deputies do not enforce immigration laws.
