(UPDATE: September 11, 2018 7:02 p.m.) Carniceria La Barbata has reopened after being re-inspected yesterday. The improvements were made following a meeting with management. According to Kern County Public Health, the staff also attended the food school to review food safety.

According to Kern Public Health, the restaurant earned a 75% on their inspection.

The Kern County Public Health Department closed Carniceria La Barata in Delano on Friday due to health code violations. 

The location, which sits at 1110 Dover Place had multiple violations including observed standing water and overflow at the floor sink in the meat department, an excess amount of flies in the meat department and on food contact surfaces.
