Celebrate the three-day weekend with events happening across Kern County

It's finally Friday, Kern County, and for some it's a three-day weekend! Here's what's going on this weekend.

Friday, February 15

Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias is bringing his comedy to Rabobank Arena as part of his "Beyond The Fluffy" World Tour! The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are available online.

It's going down at the Kern County Fairgrounds! The Kern County Mini Truck Showdown will put mini trucks head to head all weekend long. Gates open at 8 a.m. on Friday and the showdown runs through Sunday, February 17.

The Kernville Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 62nd Annual Whiskey Flat Days this weekend! The event brings the history of Kernville to the present. Visitors can expect a parade, carnival rides, food and craft booths, and so much more. Whiskey Flat Days kicks off at 12 p.m. on Friday and ends at 12p.m. on Monday, February 18.

Saturday, February 16

She ready! Tiffany Haddish is coming to The Fox on Saturday night. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online.

Some of Kern County's finest will be grilling up some barbecue during Badges - BBQ - Brews! hosted by Guild House. The dinner starts at 6 p.m. at Guild House, located at 1905 18th Street in Central Bakersfield. For tickets call 661-325-5478.

Looking for some local music? Travis Byler will be strumming up some tunes at The Lone Oak in Northwest Bakersfield. His set starts at 9 p.m.

Sunday, February 17

The Import Face-off National Car Show and Drag Racing Series is making a stop at Auto Club Famoso Raceway. The face-off will feature car, truck, and bike shows, 1/4 mile drag racing, a two-step competition, and more. Gates open at 7 a.m. and the races start at 10 a.m. Adult's tickets cost $25. Children 10 and under are free. Tickets are available online.

El Festival del Mariachi 2019 is bringing three amazing mariachi groups to Rabobank Arena this Sunday. The festival will include music from Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán, Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano, and Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuellar Jr. There will also be a performance by the Ballet Folklorico de Los Angeles. Doors open at 6 p.m., and tickets are available online.

Monday, February 18

The Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their basketball talents to Rabobank Arena. The Harlem Globetrotters are known across the world for their basketball talents, humor, and goodwill. The show will kick off at 2 p.m. on Monday, and tickets are available online.

The Bakersfield Train Robbers will be hosting a kid baseball camp. The camp costs $35 online and will be held at the Sam Lynn Ballpark in Central Bakersfield.
