BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Over 15 local high schools competed in the 2020 Kern County Mock Trial Super Saturday tournament, but only one high school was crowned as champions.
Centennial High School won the tournament this year, according to a Kern County Superintendent of Schools press release.
The mock trial was hosted within a Kern County superior courtroom in Bakersfield, where teams argued the fictitious case of People v. Matsumot.
Garces Memorial High School took second place, Liberty took third, Highland took fourth and Golden Valley placed 5th in the tournament.
Centennial will now head to the California Mock Trial tournament held in March.
