BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The results are in for the Bakersfield Police Department's DUI checkpoint Saturday night.
According to BPD, 1,025 were screened overnight.
- One arrest was made
- Four drivers were detained for further evaluation
- 36 drivers were cited for driving without a license
- 16 were found driving on a suspended license
The checkpoint was held from 6 p.m. Saturday night until 2 a.m. Sunday morning on Union Avenue near Alpine Street.
The public is encouraged to help keep roadways safe by calling 911 if they see a suspected impaired driver.
