A report by the California Highway Patrol shows three people involved in a deadly rollover on Sunday were not wearing seatbelts.

According the CHP, Andreya Allen was driving a Prebost bus with 35 passengers. A person driving a Toyota was directly in front of the Prebost. Allen failed to slow for the Toyota so she tried to turn to the right but ended up hitting the Toyota.

The Toyota, carrying seven people, left the road and ended up on a center dirt median. The driver then overcorrected and overturned.

Two people, 64-year-old Ruben Fletes and 58-year-old Alicia Ortiz, both of Patterson, who were both in the Toyota, were killed. According to the CHP, Ortiz was not wearing a seatbelt.

Three people in the Toyota, including a two-year-old, were not wearing seatbelts.

No one in the bus was injured.

CHP does not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor.
