The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed one person in Northwest Bakersfield Thursday afternoon.
CHP responded around 1 p.m. for a report of a vehicle that went into a house in the 12000 block of Prairie Rose Way.
According to witnesses, the driver was leaving her driveway and lost control, driving in to the home behind her.
The driver was a female approximately in her 60's.
The cause of death will be released by the Coroner's Office.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors. The crash is under investigation.
