UPDATE (7:13 a.m.): The CHP has stopped escorting traffic over the Grapevine.

The California Highway Patrol has started escorting traffic over the Grapevine due to weather on Friday.
The CHP's website states that officers are escorting traffic on Southbound Interstate 5 just south of Laval Road.
One lane of the Southbound I-5 is closed at Laval.
