The California Highway Patrol says a woman was killed in a solo vehicle rollover crash on Alfred Harrell Hwy and Lily Drive on Saturday afternoon.

According to the CHP, the crash occurred shortly after 2:34 p.m.

The westbound lanes were blocked for a time.

CHP official Richard Pierce told 23ABC that the Kern County Sheriff's Office dispatched the Kern County Park and Recreation of a report of a reckless driver near Hart Park.

Pierce added that it's a possibility that the woman was driving fast when she lost control of her vehicle and rolled over.

The woman was ejected from the vehicle.

When the park ranger arrived to the scene, they found a white Kia sedan on its side and saw obvious signs of death.

Bakersfield Fire, BPD, and Hall Ambulance were also at the scene assisting.

CHP said it is suspected the woman wasn't wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs were involved.

The woman's identity has not been released.

CHP is investigating this case.
