The California Highway Patrol is holding a DUI sobriety and driver's license checkpoint next Friday in an unincorporated area of eastern Kern County. 

The areas that the checkpoint may be held in are Tehachapi, Rosamond, Boron, Ridgecrest and Mojave.

The checkpoint will be held on May 25 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. 

CHP will be looking for drivers who may be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
