BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major injury collision in East Bakersfield Saturday night.

According to the CHP traffic page, a traffic incident occurred near the Mesa Marin Sports Complex shortly before 5 p.m.

The details on the traffic page are very limited at the moment as it does not list how the collision occurred or what type of vehicle was involved.

One victim was airlifted to Kern Medical at about 5:45 p.m. with. major injuries, the traffic page shows.
