BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to the California Highway Patrol traffic incident page, approximately ten cars pulled over and parked in the northbound rest area near the I-5 at Frazier Mountain Park road, officials have closed the northbound and southbound Frazier Mountain Park off-ramps.
CHP officials said parking on the freeway is dangerous, illegal and will be strictly enforced. Officials also said that snow play areas in mountain communities are closed due to large snow drifts.
Officials are also reporting several people in the area are playing in snow.
