BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — UPDATE (6:30 a.m.): The CHP says only minor injuries have been reported in the crash involving an overturned big rig. Only one lane of traffic is open in both directions.
Multiple lanes of Highway 99 at Sherwood Avenue in McFarland are blocked following a big rig rollover Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig with a tanker rolled over just after 5 a.m. Tuesday.
The CHP is investigating a rollover big rig crash on Hwy 99 at Sherwood Ave in McFarland. Officers report the big rig trailer is detached in the southbound lanes and the cab is on the northbound lanes. More cars have collided with the wreckage. The CHP's traffic incident page reports other vehicles were involved in other crashes stemming from the rollover.
There's no estimate on when lanes will be cleared.
