CHP officials released the names of the two people who were involved in a vehicle collision that occurred on SR184 near Mountain View Rd. on December 18th.
CHP officials identified the two as 56-year-old Jose De Jesus Cruz and 36-year-old Kristina Michele Price.
Officials said Cruz was driving a 2016 Fleetwood conventional big rig westbound on Mountain View Rd. near SR184 at an unknown speed.
At the same time, officials added Price was driving a 1992 Lexus model at an unknown speed when both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time and collided.
After the crash, Price's car veered to the right and struck a power pole and immediately erupted into flames.
Officials said some Good Samaritans helped Price and took her our of her car when she wasn't able to exit.
CHP said Price suffered major injuries and was transported to Kern Medical Center.
Officials said that Cruz was not injured.
CHP officials said the crash is still under investigation and added that they are not certain if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
