The California Highway Patrol is investigating a five-vehicle crash in Delano that caused traffic delays on Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened on northbound Highway 99 near Highway 155 and closed two lanes of NB 99.

Witnesses told officers that the cars were swerving to miss a dog in the road when they collided. No word yet on injuries of any kind.
