BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - CHP is reporting that one person has died after multiple people were struck by a passing vehicle following a crash at the 58 westbound and 99 northbound interchange.

According to CHP, the crash happened around 1:15 p.m. on the 58 westbound and 99 northbound interchange. CHP was initialling responding to a multi-vehicle crash. CHP reports multiple subjects were laying in the roadway when they were then struck by a passing vehicle.

CHP says traffic is backed up westbound on the 58 just east of Mount Vernon Avenue. CHP has shut down the interchange.
