CHP is responding to a vehicle versus mountainside crash just inside of the mouth of the Kern River Canyon. 

According to CHP, the crash occurred just east of the Kern River Powerhouse 1. An infant was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

CHP is reporting minor injuries. The vehicle was initially blocking both lanes, however has since been pushed out of the roadway.
