CHP sees decrease in DUIs during this Thanksgiving Maximum Enforcement in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — California Highway Patrol - Bakersfield said it arrested 37 people who were driving under the influence during its maximum enforcement weekend.

Officials said that number is down from last year's Thanksgiving Maximum Enforcement Period which was recorded at 43 for 2018.

CHP officials said the maximum enforcement period for this holiday started November 27 at 6 p.m. and lasted until December 1 at 11:59 p.m.
