CHP Start Smart program to be held Tuesday night

Posted

The California Highway Patrol is offering a free Start Smart program to discuss driving issues with prospective teenage drivers.

CHP says the class is free and offered to prospective teenage drivers and their parents or guardians. The two-hour class discusses issues like safe driving habits, consequences of a poor choice behind the wheel and tips on how to avoid a collision.

CHP says parents and teens will be more aware, more educated and better prepared to handle the stress of a new driver.

The class will be held at the Bakersfield CHP Office at 9855 Compagnoni Street on Tuesday, May 15 at 6 p.m.

If you'd like register, contact the CHP office at 661-396-6600.
