BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol is hosting another free Start Smart class for teen drivers and their parents.
CHP says the two-hour class provides keys for "safe driving habits, consequences of a poor choice behind the wheel, and tips on how to avoid a collision."
After taking the class, CHP officials say they hope parents and teens will be more aware, more educated, and better prepared to handle the stress of a new driver.
The class will take place Wednesday, July 31 at 5 p.m. at Kern Valley High School in the Old Summit Building .
To sign up you can call Bakersfield CHP Office at (661) 396-6600.
