BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — California Highway Patrol will offer a free class to current and prospective teenage drivers and their parents detailing safe driving habits, consequences of poor driving and tips on how to avoid accidents.

The Start Smart Class will be offered on Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Bakersfield CHP 420 Club.
