KCSO detectives have arrested a man accused of killing Anthony Collazo on Water Street.
On April 30, 2016, 23-year-old Anthony Collazo was shot and killed at 1012 Water St. in east Bakersfield.

Kern County Sheriff's Office homicide detectives began investigating the homicide. During their investigation they developed probable cause to arrest 30 year old Christopher Valenzuela for Collazo's murder.
On May 27, 2016, Valenzuela was arrested by the Kern County Probation Department for a probation violation. On May 28, 2016, Valenzuela was arrested while in custody for the murder of Anthony Collazo and participation in a criminal street gang.
Valenzuela is currently in custody at the Kern County Sheriff's Office Central Receiving Facility with no bail. His next court date is June 1, 2016.
