BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County announced that Cindy McCain will be its keynote speaker for the annual “An Evening With” in February.

According to the organization, the event benefits its mission and thousands of kids who attend the Club. There will be food, fine wines, and inspiring words as "Mrs. McCain shares her thoughts on how the political environment is shaping our youth and what secondary education challenges and successes will help our children," the press release stated.

Laura Bush was the guest speaker for this year's event. Next year's event takes place at the Kern County Fairgrounds at 5:30 p.m on Wednesday, February 12.
