BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - UC Berkeley SafeTREC and California Walks are hosting a safe streets workshop on Thursday in east Bakersfield.
The workshop is from 4 to 7:30 p.m. and will help identify priorities to make walking and biking safer for seniors, youth, parents and people with disabilities.
Attendees are asked to wear comfortable shoes as a community walk is part of the event. Wearing sunscreen and a hat is also encouraged.
Dinner will be provided. Spanish interpretations and childcare will be available upon request.
Doors for the Partnership Community Room open at 3:30 p.m. at the Kern County Department of Human Services.
