The Arvin Planning Commission approved two new ordinances on Wednesday to provide better management of future pot businesses in the area. 

The first ordinance recommends an amendment to Arvin's municipal code allowing commercial cannabis businesses to operate within city limits. 

The second ordinance asks that new regulations be put forward to monitor future businesses.
