BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The City of Bakersfield Recreation & Parks Department Rapid Response Team cleaned up five encampments in East Bakersfield over a two-day span.
According to the city's Facebook post, crews removed more than 1,000 pounds of debris left behind at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Park before taking it to the landfill.
The city encouraged for the community to report encampments, illegal dumping, graffiti, damage or vandalism with the Bakersfield Mobile app.
