BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Want your voice to be heard? Well, the City of Bakersfield is asking for your opinion on future decisions made regarding affordable housing, homelessness prevention and services.

The city posted a survey link on Facebook saying that it is in development of its Consolidated Plan which, over the next five years, will guide the investment of U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development funding in affordable housing, homelessness prevention and services, and community services and amenities.

The city says it will also continue its efforts to identify and overcome barriers to affordable and accessible housing.

The post also prompted residents to take this online survey in hopes of helping city officials make these future decisions.
