The City of Delano has released a statement regarding the Chief of Police.
According to the statement, outgoing Chief of Police Mark DeRosia will no longer serve as the chief of police and is no longer allowed in any restricted areas of the Delano Police Department.
In the interim, the commanders will rotate as acting chief. In November, the acting chief will be Raul Alvizo. In December, the acting chief will be Lynn Venables, and in January the acting chief will be Jerry Nicholson.
The City Manager would not discuss the personnel matter.
