BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The City of Bakersfield Recreation and Parks Department announced Tuesday that city-operated spray parks will reopen starting Wednesday, June 10.
Parks such as this have been closed in order to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19. However, now with new guidelines in place, the Recreation and Parks Department have decided to open the parks.
When reopened, hours of operation will be 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
The city is asking that the community continue to practice safe social distancing of at least six feet, washing hands for at least 20 seconds, and wear a face mask.
City-operated public pools, playgrounds and basketball courts will remain closed until further notice.
