It's now been one day since massive storms blew through Kern County Sunday evening. These storms resulted in downed power lines, power outages, flooding and uprooted trees throughout the county.
PG&E says 20,000 customers were originally impacted when the storms hit Sunday evening. They say within 12 hours, 95% of those homes were restored. As of late Monday afternoon, 650 customers remain without power. PG&E is not sure how long it will take to get those customers' power back.
One of those customers is William Norris. He says even though it's a holiday weekend, he expects his power to get fixed.
"We pay over $500 a month during the summer. You would think they could get out to your home a little quicker," said Norris.
PG&E did say the holiday weekend did not affect how many crews were out fixing power lines.
