BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The City of Bakersfield will close the southbound side of Old River Road between McCutchen Road and Taft Highway from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 16.

The project work was moved up one day due to weather impacts expected on Thursday. This closure is required as part of a resurfacing project on Old River Road.

Drivers heading south on Old River Road are advised to use alternate routes during this project work. The northbound side of Old River Road will remain open during the project.
