BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The southbound lanes of traffic on the Manor Street Bridge will be closed starting Nov. 17.

Southbound traffic will be detoured at Roberts Lane.

Traffic delays are expected as a result and drivers are advised to use caution and plan for extra travel time while driving in the area or to use alternate routes. The work requiring the closure is expected to be completed by Nov. 18.

This closure is required as part of the rehabilitation of the bridge, a project that began on May 11.

Construction work may be postponed and rescheduled without notice due to inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions.
